Become a COCPA Champion

Primary Requirements

  • Be a current COCPA member
  • Have prior involvement in the COCPA (e.g. event and/or continuing education attendance, committee service, advocacy efforts.)

CONNECT Champion

An initial four month term with the option for continued service upon completion.

  • Attend a virtual kickoff  training scheduled at your convenience.
  • Monitor weekly CONNECT Communities (Tax, Open Forum..). Welcome questions, respond to unanswered posts, or refer to someone who can assist.
  • Curate community content by providing seed questions and sharing knowledge.
  • Share knowledge topics or information from COCPA Committees/Groups
  • Cultivate a supportive online sharing community.

MEMBER Champion

An initial one year term with the option for continued service upon completion.

  • Attend a virtual kickoff training scheduled at your convenience.
  • Welcome new members in your part of the state with monthly calls or meets ups, member-to-member.
  • Foster a strong sense of community, to enhance the overall member experience, providing valuable insights to the new member and to the COCPA, by serving as a local representative.
  • This is a perfect role for anyone who enjoys making new connections and assisting others in their professional journey. If you have 1-hour/month available, come play a special role in building the fabric of our community.

STUDENT Champion

An initial four month term with the option for continued service upon completion.

  • This leadership liaison will serve as the connection between your campus accounting students, faculty, and the COCPA
  • Currently enrolled at a college or university
  • College junior or senior
  • Passion for accounting
  • Committed to becoming a CPA
  • Willingness to speak to the benefits of the profession and association
