About the COCPA Financial Literacy Committee

Among the COCPA’s many volunteer committees is its Financial Literacy Committee, which works to develop programs that promote financial literacy to those in need.

Committee activities include partnering with the Mile High United Way’s United for Business initiative, which pairs experts with small business owners to provide accounting and business-management assistance, and assisting student groups such as DECA and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).

CPAs contribute to their communities in myriad ways. Whether improving small business leaders' financial literacy to help them make informed business decisions, helping community members plan for major life events and sound financial futures, or otherwise sharing financial literacy expertise, CPAs play an important role in bringing greater awareness of the value of fiscal responsibility.
