Vision AND History

Our profession.
Our future.
Together.

What started in 1904 is even more true today: The COCPA is dedicated to equipping and empowering CPAs and finance professionals.

The COCPA Vision and Purpose

The COCPA helps people thrive personally and professionally through service and connection. We’re here to make a difference for our members and the Colorado accounting profession by providing relevant learning and career growth opportunities, facilitating meaningful connections, encouraging diversity and inclusion within the profession, and supporting a positive business environment through legislative and regulatory advocacy.

History of COCPA

Founded in 1904, the Colorado Society of CPAs (COCPA) is a 501(c)(6) professional membership association for CPAs and accounting professionals in Colorado with a membership of 6,400+.

Located in the Denver Tech Center, the COCPA operations encompass diverse activities, including member services, continuing education, and peer review. The Educational Foundation of COCPA, the affiliated 501(c)(3) charitable foundation, fundraises and grants scholarships to Colorado accounting students.
