Mental Health, to Mental Wealth
“101” Level – Resiliency / Self Care Training
Objective:
To raise awareness of the importance of our own and others’ optimal mental health to the quality of our work, the retention and development of our people and the foundation of our profession.
Vision:
A profession where we are just as comfortable taking care of and talking about mental health as we are about physical health, recognizing the importance of all aspects of health as a foundation for thriving professionally and personally.
“101” Level – Resiliency / Self Care Training:
Interactive, collaborative session where participants learn the definition of self-care and the importance of such as a basis for professional success. Discussion of ‘burn-out’, how it happens, and strategies to avoid, identify and correct. Participants complete a self-assessment to develop awareness of their current self-care / resiliency status. Discussion encouraged among the group as participants work to develop an individualized self-care plan, including ‘steady state’ and ‘stressed state’ action items.
