Michelle is a Senior Manager in the Ernst & Young Denver Indirect Tax practice specializing in sales and use tax. She has over 11 years of sales and use tax experience and advises clients in a variety of industries to help drive efficiency and decrease risk.
She has experience with acquisitions, audits, refund claims, remediation, private letter rulings/ tax advisory opinions, tax matrices, structuring, tax engine implementation, marketplace facilitators, lodging taxes, general compliance processes, and ASC 450. Michelle often partners with 3rd party technology platforms, transforming big data based on client specifications to meet both regulatory and day to day business requirements.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Michelle began her sales and use tax career with Ryan, LLC. Her time at Ryan, LLC led her from Texas to Colorado and allowed her to gain ample experience with both audits and look-back reviews across the nation.
Michelle enjoys assisting her clients with developing sales and use tax policy with an emphasis in Colorado, prioritization of technology, planning and adaptation to the evolving business environment.
