Chris joined DWC CPAs and Advisors in 1996 and became a principal in 2009. He oversaw leadership, fiscal management, and administration as Principal in Charge of the Grand Junction tax office for nearly a decade. In 2019, he was appointed CEO and continues to lead from the Grand Junction office.
During his accounting career as a tax professional and advisor, Chris specialized in mergers and acquisitions, real estate taxation and development, cost segregation studies, small business taxation, and income tax planning for high-net-worth individuals. He has also provided expert witness and litigation support across multiple Colorado counties. A recognized thought leader, he regularly contributes expert insights on business advisory, leadership, and wealth management topics to The Business Times and DWC’s blog.
As CEO and Director of Vision, Chris focuses on strategic growth, talent development, and delivering exceptional client service. He champions a high-performance, people-centric culture to drive success for clients, employees, and the community.
Chris is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, and a Series 65 investment advisor representative with Global Retirement Partners, LLC. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Colorado Mesa University. He actively serves as vice-chairman for the Grand Junction Regional Airport Authority Board, a board member of the Colorado Mesa University Foundation, and a member of the Grand Junction Downtown Rotary Club.
