Getting Involved Pays Off in the Long Run

As a longtime COCPA member who has served in many different volunteer roles over the years, including as the Society's current board chair, I've focused primarily on giving back to the profession that has given me so much. I've found that "giving back" has paid off exponentially, both for me personally and my firm. I have met so many members who are as dedicated to the profession as I am, and I have seen how giving just one hour to the Society can benefit so many people.

While there are countless ways to volunteer and engage at the Society, I write today to invite you to join us at this year’s CPAs Make A Difference Celebration on Nov. 6, 5 to 9 pm at the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver. I encourage you to join more than 200 of your colleagues to connect personally while helping to celebrate accounting professionals doing great work in their communities, honor women who are leading by example, and most importantly, recognize Colorado’s new CPAs from the past year as we all continue to come together around filling the profession’s talent pipeline.

I am proud to share that my firm, Soukup, Bush & Associates, CPAs, P.C., is this year’s presenting sponsor. We as a firm feel strongly about giving back to our community, and we do this in a variety of ways, both locally and through the COCPA. I  encourage you and your organization to consider doing the same. Again, the payback from giving comes back tenfold. It may not be immediate, but it does happen. Giving back has brought me and my firm both business and great talent. It is a holistic view to doing business and I would be happy to speak with you more about it if you are interested.

Can I count on you to attend? If yes, please seek me out at the celebration so we can connect.
