The COCPA is thrilled to welcome speaker, writer, and presenter Judy Vorndran, JD, CPA, to its lineup of talented CPE instructors.
A preeminent expert on state and local tax (SALT) and legislative matters, Judy joins the team following the recent retirement of Bruce Nelson, CPA, who spent years as a highly regarded COCPA instructor, serving as the go-to expert on all things SALT. We thank Bruce for graciously sharing his expertise with thousands of tax professionals over the years, and wish him well in retirement.
Following childhood aspirations of acting, Judy’s academic path was shaped by familial expectations, leading her to pursue a business degree in finance. After eventually pivoting toward law school, she ultimately discovered her niche in tax law. Initially unaware of its complexities, Judy’s tenure at prominent accounting firms such as PWC and Deloitte provided invaluable experience, paving the way for her specialization in SALT.
Despite the complexities of SALT, Judy remains steadfast in her commitment to empowering businesses and advocating for clarity and fairness in tax legislation amidst the ever-evolving landscape of tax law.
COCPA members’ first opportunity to engage with Judy and her unique style comes on May 29, with the first installment of her webinar series, “Navigating the Legislative Maze: Keeping You Informed, One Bill at a Time.” From trendy topics to quirky outliers, each of the four sessions in this series will offer insights into bills that could impact you and your clients, both now and in the future.
Don’t miss this opportunity to stay ahead of the legislative curve. Register for one, some, or all of the unique sessions in the series, with a discount offered when you register for all four. Click here to register or learn more.
