April is Volunteer Awareness Month! Throughout April, we honor the spirit of giving back and recognize those who dedicate their time, skills, and passion to make a difference in their communities. In fiscal year 2024, the collective dedication and commitment of individuals resulted in a total of 3,985 volunteer hours contributed to furthering the mission of COCPA.

COCPA offers a number of volunteer opportunities, empowering individuals to shape impactful programs and activities, forge connections with peers, and serve their communities. Get involved by:

• Participating in a standing committee
• Helping to plan an educational event
• Joining a special-interest group
• Participating in community service projects
• Authoring a NewsAccount article to share your expertise
• Speaking at a conference or educational event to build your professional experience 

We also provide the opportunity to explore and share nonprofit initiatives through the COCPA Connect community, CPAs Give Back. This online forum serves as a dedicated space for engaging with peers and posting and responding to volunteer opportunities.
