Hot Topics in Accounting: Colorado State Tax Updates, presented by the Colorado Department of Revenue

Jane Ferdig is an internal Subject Matter Expert on both individual and business tax for the Colorado Department of Revenue's Education & Training Team. As a former educator and tax examiner, Jane combines her knowledge of learning with her experience with state taxation to enhance information and materials available for both tax professionals and the public. She also holds a certification in Training and Facilitation from The Association for Talent Development. The Education & Training Team is responsible for collaborating with industry experts and tax policy officials to develop complete, accurate, and effective training materials on a wide range of taxation topics. Jane creates material to simplify and explain complex tax information and procedures to Colorado taxpayers and internal CDOR employees. Team members have been recognized by other states for their training material and content. Recently, Jane has been involved in multiple conference presentations and webinars to provide legislative updates on matters affecting taxation for tax year 2024 forward.

Laura is an experienced and integral part of the Colorado Department of Revenue's Education & Training Team. Laura has a wealth of experience in education and webinar facilitation, and her communication skills are second to none. She also holds a certification in Adult Learning from The Association for Talent Development. She also works closely with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of Colorado to improve taxation information available to small business owners. The Education & Training Team is responsible for collaborating with industry experts and tax policy officials to develop complete, accurate, and effective training materials on a wide range of taxation topics. Laura creates material to simplify and explain complex tax information and procedures to Colorado taxpayers and internal CDOR employees.
