The Ins and Outs of SOC Reports

Review the differences between SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports, as well as the differences between Type 1 and Type 2 reports. Understand the key elements of SOC reports and what they mean. We'll talk about everything from the auditor's opinion, to the system description, to controls, testing, and results. Understand what different opinions are, what elements to look for in the system description, what to do if there are exceptions in control testing, and other red flags when reviewing a report provided by service organizations.
