We are excited to share that NASBA has rolled out three key resources.

1. CPA Mobile App — Your Pocket Portal to CPA Licensure

NASBA’s new CPA Mobile App delivers the licensure journey into a mobile-friendly format — no more chasing emails, portals, or lost paperwork. This is a mobile‐friendly way to prepare for, apply to, and stay informed about the Uniform CPA Examination.

Key features include:

  • Download and view your Notice to Schedule (NTS) right in the app.
  • View CPA exam scores.
  • Manage payment coupons and international administration fees (if applicable).
  • Receive reminders and alerts for critical deadlines.
  • Access jurisdiction-specific requirements and guidance.
  • Track application/eligibility status (in jurisdictions where NASBA handles eligibility).

Why this matters

If you’re a Colorado student or advising CPA candidates, this app is a practical new resource worth sharing. It streamlines what has often been a confusing process, helping candidates stay organized and informed.

Download from the App Store or Google Play.

2. Licensure Pathways Resource — Keeping Up With Change

NASBA has also published a dedicated resource titled “New Licensure Pathways” which tracks how various jurisdictions are redefining the education and experience requirements for CPA licensure.

Why this matters

The path to CPA licensure is evolving, and this new tool helps Colorado candidates, educators, and firms stay ahead of the changes. It provides real-time visibility into when new pathways take effect in different jurisdictions and what those updates mean in practice. Educators can use it to keep programs aligned with current requirements, firms can better understand how emerging experience and internship options may impact recruiting, and students can make more informed choices about their education and career paths.

3. CPAMobility.org Relaunch — License Without Borders (Mostly)

Finally, NASBA has relaunched CPAMobility.org, an updated online tool to assist CPAs who want to practice across state lines.

Highlights include:

  • Searchable, jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction summaries of mobility/practice privilege rules.
  • Clear explanation of “mobility” (i.e., CPAs in good standing serving clients in other states without obtaining a second license) when applicable.
  • Up-to-date, verified information approved by the relevant state boards.

Why this matters

  • If a Colorado-licensed CPA works with clients in other states (or expects to), these rules matter.
  • Firms that have multi-state operations or remote/virtual work setups will see relevance here.
  • Candidates aspiring to a multi-state career will benefit from understanding mobility early on.

Looking Ahead

The accounting profession has always valued rigor, ethics, and trust. But as the profession modernizes, the systems supporting it must evolve as well. NASBA’s new tools reflect that shift—empowering candidates to manage their journey, clarifying evolving licensure rules, and supporting greater mobility for today’s CPAs.
