The Colorado Society of CPAs (COCPA) is proud to celebrate one of our own: Joseph “Joe” Hamilton, CPA, Co-Founder and CFO of FirmKey Solutions, has been selected as a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) 2025 Leadership Academy, an honor awarded to only 36 professionals nationwide.

Joe’s selection recognizes his exceptional leadership skills, commitment to advancing the profession, and active contributions to the CPA community. Since joining COCPA in 2023, Joe has engaged in events like PEAK: The Colorado Accounting & Finance Summit and has been active in groups including the Independent Accountants Alliance (IAA) Working Group.

As Co-Founder of FirmKey Solutions, Joe helps businesses tackle accounting and finance challenges by connecting them with fractional CFOs and boutique firms. His career journey began in audit at RSM and advanced through transaction advisory roles at BDO and Intrinsic before launching his own firmAbout - FirmKey Solutions. He is a licensed CPA in both Illinois and Colorado.

The AICPA Leadership Academy, held December 8–11, 2025, will immerse Joe and his peers in career-development workshops, networking opportunities, and sessions with some of the profession’s most influential leaders. Many past participants have gone on to serve in leadership roles across firms, corporations, nonprofits, and state societies.
