Longtime COCPA Member Ron Seigneur Named to Forbes’ Inaugural America’s Top CPAs for Valuations List
The Colorado Society of CPAs is proud to celebrate longtime member Ron Seigneur, CPA/ABV, ASA, CVA, who has been named to Forbes’ inaugural America’s Top CPAs for Valuations list for 2025.
Ron, Director of Valuation Services at Seigneur Gustafson LLP, is one of just 100 CPAs nationwide and only two in Colorado to receive this honor. The recognition highlights professionals whose expertise and leadership have elevated the field of valuation. Forbes’ multi-stage selection process considered achievements, professional honors, thought leadership, community service, and influence on the profession.
A Career of Excellence in Valuation
Ron is a founding partner of Seigneur Gustafson LLP, where he leads the firm’s Business and Intellectual Property Appraisal discipline. Since 1984, he has issued hundreds of appraisal opinions across industries, specializing in business valuation, financial forensics, economic damages, lost profits, and appraisals for estate, gift, and M&A purposes.
Beyond his client work, Ron is a nationally recognized author and thought leader. He has co-authored multiple authoritative texts, including:
- Reasonable Compensation: Application and Analysis for Appraisal, Tax and Management Purposes
- Financial Valuation: Applications and Models, 5th Edition
- The Cannabis Industry Accounting and Appraisal Guide, 2nd Edition
- The Financial Expert Guide for Family Law Judges and Attorneys
He has also served as Chair of the Colorado Society of CPAs Board of Directors, the AICPA ABV Credential Committee, and the NACVA Professional Standards Committee. In 2006, Ron was inducted into the AICPA Business Valuation Hall of Fame.
A True Leader in the Profession
Ron’s influence reaches far beyond his firm. He spent more than 20 years as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, teaching finance and leadership, and has also taught at the Daniels College of Business. His contributions to education, professional standards, and thought leadership continue to shape the next generation of valuation professionals.
