In 2025, COCPA is making key updates to ensure your membership delivers greater value, stronger support, and meaningful investment in the profession. That includes expanded benefits, a streamlined learning experience, and thoughtful reinvestment in the future of accounting in Colorado.

Investing in You

Unlimited On-Demand CPE – Now Included

Previously offered as a paid add-on, unlimited self-paced CPE through Surgent is now included with your COCPA Fellow membership. Available anytime, anywhere, this benefit helps remove cost and access barriers to staying compliant.

Why it matters: In 2024, 26% of CPAs audited by the State Board in Colorado did not meet their CPE requirements. This change makes it easier to stay on track.

More Free Learning Opportunities

In addition to unlimited on-demand CPE, members can access a variety of no-cost programs, including:

  • Two annual Member Appreciation Days
  • Free CPE with NewsAccount
  • Webinars hosted throughout the year by COCPA member groups

Stronger Peer Communities

Whether through roundtables, member forums, or leadership roles, COCPA continues to offer spaces for CPAs to share knowledge, connect with peers, and contribute to the direction of the profession. Over the past 12 months, COCPA’s online Connect community has seen over 2500 posts and comments and 34,180 member views.

Smarter Spending, Greater Impact

To ensure resources are focused on member priorities, COCPA is downsizing its office space and reinvesting those savings into programming and services that directly benefit members.

Investing in the Profession

Advocacy That Protects and Advances the CPA

COCPA represents CPAs at the Capitol and in regulatory conversations across the country. We’re working to safeguard the CPA license, influence smart policy, and ensure COCPA’s voice is heard in key local and national efforts. Read about our latest advocacy efforts here

Support for the Pipeline

We’ve hired our first full-time Executive Director for the Educational Foundation—an important step toward expanding its impact. By increasing operational support, we’re ensuring that donor contributions go further, reaching more students, educators, and future CPAs through scholarships, outreach, and programming. Addressing the pipeline challenge requires real investment—and we’re committed to building the future of the profession.

What’s Changing with Dues?

Effective May 1, 2025:

  • Fellow Member Dues: $510/year
  • Non-CPA and Retired Member Dues: 3% increase

The new rate reflects both rising costs and a strategic shift toward making high-quality learning more accessible and expanding COCPA’s ability to serve members and the profession.

Membership That Supports More Than Just You

Since 1905, COCPA has worked to advance and protect the CPA profession in Colorado. Back then, annual dues were $20—equivalent to $721 today. At $510, your membership continues that legacy with expanded access to education, advocacy, and community.

We appreciate your continued involvement and support as we evolve to meet the needs of today’s CPAs—and tomorrow’s.
