Fellow Membership Options

Fellow Member

Requirements:
  • CPA in good standing with a license in active status with the Colorado State Board of Accountacy or another jurisdiction

Inactive Fellow (NEW for 2026-27)

  • CPA in good standing with a license in inactive status with the State Board of Accountancy

Retired CPA

$120/year or $10/month
Requirements:
  • CPA in good standing with a license in retired status with the State Board of Accountancy

Professional Membership Options

Accounting or Finance Professional

  • Professional or administrative staff of a CPA or CPA firm
  • Accounting faculty member

CPA Candidate (NEW FOR 2026-27)

Student Membership

Student

Requirements:
  • Part-time or full-time students in a post-secondary business program at a college or university that satisfies the academic preparation requirements for taking the Uniform CPA Examination

Please note: The monthly subscription option is not available for student membership.

Membership dues payments are deductible for most members as an ordinary and necessary business expense. However, the COCPA estimates that 1.88 percent of the dues payment is not deductible as a business expense because of COCPA’s lobbying activities on behalf of its members. Membership dues include a $5.00 annual subscription to NewsAccount. Contributions or gifts to the COCPA or to the CPA Political Action Committee are not tax deductible for income tax purposes. Contributions to the Educational Foundation of the COCPA, a 501(c)(3) entity, are tax deductible as charitable contributions.
