Ethics in Action – Navigating Complexity with Confidence

This 100-minute ethics course is designed for Colorado CPAs who need to strengthen professional judgment in complex practice environments. Participants will evaluate the Colorado State Board of Accountancy rules, apply the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct and selected federal requirements, and analyze ethical dilemmas that arise in public practice, industry, and advisory settings. The course uses case-based scenarios to help participants assess competing obligations, identify threats to ethical compliance, and determine appropriate responses to gray-area situations. Participants will also assess how bias, leadership behavior, and professional values influence decision-making and will develop practical actions to support ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and sound professional judgment in their day-to-day work.
