Doug Slaybaugh is the founder of The CPA Coach, a coaching platform dedicated to supporting CPAs and improving the public accounting experience. He specializes in helping accounting professionals smooth rough edges, earn promotions, navigate career decisions, strengthen essential skills, and improve both their work and life experience. As a work-focused coach, Doug builds engaging coaching relationships that help accountants grow their careers, increase their earnings, and create more fulfilling lives. At the same time, he recognizes that life and work are deeply connected, and his coaching reflects that reality.
Doug has worked with firms across the country, from some of the largest in the world to small local practices. He is both a Professional Certified Coach and a CPA, with more than a decade of coaching experience, hundreds of successful coaching engagements, and more than 25 years spent in and around public accounting. His clients’ goals and experiences are at the center of his work, and he is passionate about helping them create meaningful, lasting change. Outside of work, Doug is a parent to a wrestler and a ballerina, a horror buff, a bibliomaniac, a collector, and a frequent Scrabble loser to his wife.

Carla started her career as a CPA and eventually found her way to coaching, which she has been doing for 13+ years. Her base of clients is primarily working parents, with a specialty in coaching through personal and professional transitions. She has expanded her skills to include certifications in The Gottman Institute’s Bringing Baby Home program, EQ in action and TRACOM Social Styles. Carla lives in Seattle with her husband, Dan, their three kids and puppy.
Background
Carla earned her credential as a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (IFC). To pursue her dream of opening her own coaching business, she left her job of 23 years at a Fortune 500 company where she started her career as a CPA. Prior to leaving, she was a founding member of the Internal Executive Coaching Team, serving as an executive coach to leaders in transition throughout the company.
Carla has coached extensively in the professional services environment at all levels. She has expertise in the transitions that working parents face, the complexities of advancing women and the journey through leadership transitions. She has worked with working parents, new partners, direct admit partners, titled leaders and emerging leaders.
Carla has also worked extensively with women in transition and small-group coaching.
Carla earned her BA in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas. She completed her coach training through inviteChange, an accredited coach training program.

Kenya has spent extensive time coaching individuals and teams at all levels, from executives to manager level professionals, to help distinguish and develop them as great leaders. Her primary areas of expertise and coaching are around helping individuals in transition, whether that is finding their next role, getting to the next level through promotion, leveling up their overall performance, or perhaps moving into retirement. She spent 31 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Human Capital which included leading teams and coaching individuals around personal and professional development. With a high energy level, a passion for what she does, and an element of “fun”, her thought provoking questions and push for accountability, takes clients to the next level. Additionally, Kenya is a Lead Trainer for the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) which is a coaching certified training program, enabling participants to become credentialed as coaches. She has been in this role since 2020. She also serves as a mentor coach to students of iPEC as part of their credentialing process. She has received feedback from many sources that her authenticity and ability to build strong, trusting relationships is exemplary. Kenya obtained her Certified Professional Coach (CPC) in 2014, her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) in early 2018 and her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) in early 2020. The ACC and PCC designations are credentialed through the International Coach Federation. She is also an Energy Leadership Index – Master Practitioner (ELI-MP), is certified with Herrmann International as a Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) practitioner, and has received her certification from Kaiser Leadership to administer the Leadership Versatility Index 360 assessment in January of 2025. Kenya is married, has four children, seven grandchildren, and one dog. She lives in the mountains of Colorado, she loves to travel both domestically and internationally and is a great cook! She enjoys the outdoors including hiking, kayaking, biking and golfing.
