The AICPA is issuing a call to action! CPAs across the country should contact the IRS to emphasize the burdens CPAs, CPA firms and businesses will face if the IRS fully implements its proposed Tax Registration program. The Colorado State Board of Accountancy is proposing to repeal its existing rules in their entirety and to adopt new rules for Chapters 1-11. The proposed rules may be found at: www.dora.state.co.us/pls/real/SB121_Web.Show_Rule?p_rule_id=3801.
A public hearing on the proposed rules is set for 8:00 a.m., Sept. 3, 2010, at 1560 Broadway, Suite 1250C, Denver CO 80202. The public is invited to provide written comment which must be submitted at least ten days prior to the hearing, as well as to testify in person.
